Connecting the CreepyGram Dots - THE CURSED ARTISTS

Not all of the CreepyGrams were self-contained stories. Many were appended or continuances to other tales that may have slipped by the occasional reader. In that respect, the purpose of this blog post is to link those pieces of connective tissue to resemble a somewhat larger body.
Case in point is the following. These stories meld together in a strange, sometimes grisly fashion. Read them in the suggested order for an entirely new perspective from the realms of the unknown.

THE CURSED ARTISTS

Sometimes, more than artistic talent can be passed down to one’s offspring. The Morrow family has such an affliction. Call it the family curse.
It all began with Adalberto Morrow who had the artistic inclination to do paint The Family Portrait. The subjects of his painting are victims of destruction. This time, homicidal violence. The talent, along with the curse, was passed down to his son, Fredric.
Frederic was blessed with a conscience, but also cursed with the inability to make a living doing anything but painting. This leads for a continuation of the curse in Still Life and Death. Like his father, this artist can only paint models that soon turn to oblivion.
What do you do when you know you have to paint but you will curse whomever or whatever you capture on canvas? Poor Frederic decides to take the cowards way out and paint a self-portrait. The result is far worse than he could have possibly imagined in The Droste Effect.
