Connecting the CreepyGram Dots - TERROR AT THE BLUE MOON TAVERN

Not all of the CreepyGrams were self-contained stories. Many were appended or continuances to other tales that may have slipped by the occasional reader. In that respect, the purpose of this blog post is to link those pieces of connective tissue to resemble a somewhat larger body.

Case in point is the following. These stories meld together in a strange, sometimes grisly fashion. Read them in the suggested order for an entirely new perspective from the realms of the unknown.

TERROR AT THE BLUE MOON TAVERN

The Blue Moon Tavern is a place that was founded in 1991, but with a foundation of radio waves instead of concrete. Though never mentioned by that name, the bar was forged from the lyrics of the Brooks & Dunn song “Neon Moon” by way of homage. Neon Moon was a CreepyGram that added a murder to the mix.
But Maria’s murder (her name was also a tribute to Brooks & Dunn’s “My Maria”) wasn’t the end. She decided to come back and haunt the treacherous culprit by playing a specific song on the JukeBox at the exact same time she had been killed. Though it was not mentioned in The Tell-Tale JukeBox, that song was “Boot Scootin’ Boogie”. This was the same song that the star-crossed lovers first danced together. Throw in a little nod to Edgar Allen Poe and you’ve got yourself a CreepyGram.
My apologies to those who hate country music. A taste for the twang is not required to enjoy the stories. Feel free to change the songs to anything you like as you read them.
