Flash Fic Friday - MACABRE GARDEN
MACABRE GARDEN
The cadaver seeds are planted in the macabre garden in hopes
that they will grow. Tended with care, watered by sorrow, and soon forgotten.
The seeds begin to sprout.
The wrought iron fence surrounds the garden, and the seeds
are designated by marble and stone. Cobblestone paths connect the rows and columns
for the sake of maintenance and care. Grass is kept short and weeds are pulled.
The cadaver seeds take root. They reach out from beneath the
soil, clamoring for daylight (or even moonlight). The first writhing fingers of
the undead have broken ground. The macabre garden is fruitful.
