ABIDE BY FIRELIGHT

Beneath the desert sky's expanse so wide,
A monster lurks, enticed by campfire's glow,
Its hunger, ancient, calls it to abide.

In shadows cast, where eerie tales reside,
The flickering flames enthrall with their woe,
Beneath the desert sky's expanse so wide.

Its eyes, aglow with secrets deep inside,
Unearthly presence stirs, it starts to grow,
Its hunger, ancient, calls it to abide.

The sand dunes whisper of the beast's stride,
As darkness gathers, tremors start to flow,
Beneath the desert sky's expanse so wide.

Drawn by the warmth, the fire's tempting tide,
It slithers forth, with stealth, it creeps below,
Its hunger, ancient, calls it to abide.

Campers unknowing, hearts with fear collide,
As moonlight fades, the monster's form does show,
Beneath the desert sky's expanse so wide,
Its hunger, ancient, calls it to abide.
